Responsibility
- create and manage our UK-specific data pipelines, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the data that is ingested
- we recognise that people come from diverse backgrounds and skills and welcome all to apply
- develop, enhance and deploy ‘hot-fixes’ to new and existing Snowflake Data Tables through DBT
- manage and develop our Looker LookML code base, ensuring it is accurate, efficient and fit for purpose
- develop new outward-facing Data Products, such as Looker Dashboards, to support the wider business
- join Gopuff as an Analytics Engineer, where together with our ‘Analytics Engineering and Operations Data Lead’, you will work on the development and management of a reliable, exhaustive, visible and understandable suite of data products to enable data-driven decision making
- act as a conduit into the US Engineering team, sharing best practices and updates that the UK team will benefit from
- the role of an Analytics Engineer in our UK Team is an exciting opportunity, and its responsibilities and scope span the whole journey of architecting a number of in-market data engineering jobs, all the way through to supporting the education of the wider business on the availability and usage of this data
Requirements
- bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or other quantitative discipline
- strong experience in SQL and databases , with an ability to write structured and efficient queries on large data sets
- experience with Databricks or equivalent and/or Python is a strong plus
- development experience with BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI
- A strong and confident communicator and collaborator
- move fast, be a team player, always be learning, and give back
- 2+ years of experience in data/analytics engineering - preferably in fields related to grocery, operations, marketing or consumer products
