Education

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in product design or industrial design
  • 3-5 years of toy industry experience
  • good sketching skills to clearly present ideas and concepts
  • good skills in 3D design software
  • basic understanding of 3D sculpting is highly advantageous
  • good knowledge of current design packages, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • strong interest in toys
  • experience managing schedules across multiple simultaneous projects

Responsibility

  • create packaging solutions for existing and new brands
  • collaborate with an international team of graphic experts and design agencies
  • translate concepts and briefs into eye catching graphics
  • create stand-out POS material and exhibition decoration
  • assist brainstorms and research initial concepts / designs including competitor packs
  • understand and interpret briefs from the global product design and marketing departments
  • apply and maintain brand consistency across our toy and game ranges
  • provide written briefs for artwork, illustrations and photography to external suppliers

Responsibility

  • proactively brainstorm and research initial concepts / designs including competitor packs
  • understand and interpret briefs from the global product design and marketing teams
  • direct, co-ordinate and attend photo shoots , as agreed with Marketing
  • keep current with competitor / fashionable packs / trends
  • liaise with PI team on safety and legal pack requirements
  • consult with the product designers and engineering on the features, function, costs & manufacturing issues
  • record all relevant project details, maintaining current project files
  • provide pack mock-ups for previews / sample selections / listings etc as and when required
