Requirements

  • previous experience of transport planning for a manufacturing business is required
  • experience of planning inhouse vehicle fleet for bulk or bagged product deliveries
  • knowledge or experience of agriculture
  • excellent geographical knowledge and experience of routing vehicles
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team
  • an understanding of compliance within the transport industry
  • ability to build positive working relations with customers, suppliers and colleagues

Responsibility

  • plan inhouse fleet vehicle deliveries of animal feed to farms and agricultural businesses and organize driver schedules
  • to ensure that communication channels are open and maintained with other internal departments and customers
