- an exciting opportunity has arisen in our Pumps Engineering department for a Senior Engineer to join our well-established engineering organisation, based in our head office in Kendal, Cumbria
- our team have the exciting task of generating engine-specific cooling pump designs that are then manufactured on-site for large industrial engine manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Volvo and Scania
- reporting to the Principal Engineer, this Senior Engineer role is responsible for leading the Detailed Design Team, ensuring the design of pumps are robust, to satisfy our clients’ requirements and also Gilkes’ aim to engineer products with enduring performance
- support the Production team and other departments in the business with engineering input
- leading Design Review meetings with other senior engineers as well as other stakeholders/customers
