  • getaway Travel is seeking reliable, professional PSV/Taxi Drivers to join our team
  • safely transport passengers to various destinations, including airports, seaports, and local venues
  • ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs
  • you will cover a range of services, including airport transfers, long-distance travel, local journeys, and special events
  • provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers as needed
  • operate a range of vehicles from our fleet, maintaining cleanliness and care
  • use the company’s telematics and online booking systems to track and manage bookings
  • comply with all traffic laws, driving regulations, and company policies

Requirements

  • clean driving record with no recent criminal or driving convictions
  • excellent knowledge of local roads and routes
  • strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanour
  • ability to work unsociable hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends
  • reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality service
  • previous experience in passenger transport is preferred
  • valid Westmorland and Furness taxi badge or Category D driving licence with CPC and Tachograph We can put the right candidates through this
  • ability to handle cash and card payments when necessary

  • strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and electrical systems
  • familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools
  • ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics or automotive technology are advantageous
  • mechanical : 3 years
