- CPA or ACCA designation
- strong grasp of Canadian GAAP, or IFRS and financial reporting technical skills
- experience with leading month end close and completing financial statements including note disclosures
- possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
- conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
- responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous tasks individually and for direct reports
- 5+ years experience in a corporate accounting environment with solid technical accounting knowledge
- experience with small/ mid- size entrepreneurial environment with high growth is an asset
Responsibility
- ad hoc projects
- responsible for the development, implementation, and adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- accountable for ensuring that the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for several legal entities are timely, accurate, and in compliance with IFRS and other local statutory GAAP requirements
