to provide and deliver skilled nursing care to all service users
support management in the supervision, training, and discipline of staff

freshford Cottage is a privately-run nursing care home part of the Southcare Homes Group that is looking for someone with a genuine interest in working within a caring environment to become our Night Registered Nurse
to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the individual care to all service users on an on- going basis in the interest of best nursing practice and in accordance with home policy and inspectorate regulations
shifts: 12 hours per week every Saturday night, applicants must also be willing to cover staff sickness / holidays on a bank basis
Requirements
ability to administer medication including controlled drugs and PR medication
qualified NVQ assessor
satisfactory DBS check and Adult First
direct experience of understanding the personal care and potential nursing needs of older people
experience of “sole charge” situation and the management/supervision of others
ability to communicate effectively at all levels and support your team
REQUIRED: Qualified Registered Nurse must have recognised managerial qualification or training to progress beyond pt 29
to work with the scope of the Data Protection Act 1998 and adherence to all Data Protection Legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulations

Requirements
NVQ Level 5 in leadership and management for care services
A management qualification, such as the Diploma or Certificate in management studies or NVQ Level 4 in management
NVQ Level 4 in health and social care
to be knowledgeable regarding Health & Safety at work, including environmental health
HACCP Certified
must be an RGN with an excellent record of working well with vulnerable/elderly adults within the care home sector
satisfactory DBS check and DBS First
basic understanding of the Health & Safety at Work Act

to ensure that daily written reports, events, service users care plans, recording changes of condition, events and visits from other professional practitioners are made by the person in charge
