  • carry out all weighbridge activities

Responsibility

  • assist the Operations Manager with the site inventory to ensure minimum use of working capital
  • continually monitor levels of absence and address problems as necessary
  • ensure the mill cleaning schedule is adhered to and all spillages and leaks are dealt with in the appropriate manner
  • maximise throughputs, which should then enable planned shutdowns, enabling all departments to ensure customer requirements are met on time
  • with the Formulations department, review formulations on a monthly basis to evaluate the impact of any changes on quality or throughput
  • maintain a shift rota to facilitate 24/7 operational cover, ensuring that the mill is fully staffed as required at all times. Holidays and sickness need to be taken into account and cover agreed as early as possible
  • ensure the production and planning teams are performing to their full potential through regular monitoring of objectives, coaching, motivation, involvement and training
  • manage and administer the recording of the time and attendance system
