Responsibility
- we have an opening in our Transport Department for a Transport Planner for a full time position
- carefully secure and plan reloads on the rigid & artic vehicles
- stay in regular contact with the drivers and pass on any delays etc to the account managers
- ensure that the vehicles are run as efficiently as possible and are generating the correct revenue in relation to their budget
- analyse the vehicle costs on a weekly basis and pinpoint any inefficiencies and report them
- plan the daily work for up to 20 rigid vehicles while assisting with solutions for the artic fleet. The work is dedicated loads & some multi-drop, general haulage
- working with the Transport Manager to help plan the servicing & mot's of the fleet, as well as enforcing drivers hours and assisting with other related tasks
Requirements
- 2 years of transport planning
- driving Licence
- CPC Holder
- familiarity with the Mandata system
