Responsibility

  • supervising the kitchen team to ensure food is consistently produced to an excellent standard of quality and visual presentation
  • adhering to health & safety requirements and maintaining excellent hygiene standards
  • work closely and communicate clearly with the Bookings Manager regarding the buffet lunches
  • maintaining appropriate reports and records for food safety
  • maximize operational efficiency of a production kitchen by minimizing wastage and labour costs
  • ordering and keeping an eye on all stock levels, whilst rotating the existing stock with new deliveries
  • overseeing the daily running of the kitchen to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of food produced for coffee vans and buffet lunches

Requirements

  • strong knowledge and understanding of the F&B sector with commercial awareness
  • proven experience in a kitchen management role of 2+ years
