  • assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen
  • prepare and cook high-quality meals according to recipes and standards
  • assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • ensure food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
  • preparing, cooking and presenting high quality ingredients for your section

  • monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
  • assisting with the management of food hygiene practices

Requirements

  • strong knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods
  • excellent knife skills and attention to detail

  • ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • previous experience as a Sous Chef is preferred, but this role may also suit an experienced Chef De Partie looking for the next step in an already busy food-led venue, in a small growing pub group

  • 10. Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws
  • 11. Undertake other reasonable duties or requests from time to time as requested by the General Manager or their Assistant/Deputy
  • product knowledge: Is knowledgeable about own business products and services. Is able to address common customer queries and requests. Ensures own knowledge is maintained and updated
  • dispense drinks, snacks and food items – mixing appropriate ingredients to prepare drinks where required
  • maintain cleanliness of bar and customer areas, including collection of used food and glassware
  • take customer orders and process payment for food and beverages, checking identification for age verification where necessary
