we welcome applications to join our rapidly growing team, we are currently looking for general warehouse operatives / drivers to assist us with sorting batteries and any other ad hoc duties at our battery recycling facility in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, Scotland, this will be on a full time basis with an initial 3 months probationary period
you will report directly to the Operations Director & Management Team, all training will be provided and all applicants should be able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative

ensure comprehensive compliance of the site with environmental, health & safety, and industry-specific regulations
manage and oversee waste returns to regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
coordinate and monitor the compliance of all inbound and outbound shipments, including haulage paperwork and regulations
collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to ensure seamless integration of compliance requirements with operational activities
conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions
stay abreast of regulatory changes and update internal policies and procedures accordingly
lead training sessions for staff on compliance practices and regulations

essential, current WAMITAB certifications
proven experience in a waste management and recycling compliance role, within the recycling or waste management industry
in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, hazardous waste regulations, and safe transportation practices
demonstrated ability to manage complex compliance activities and paperwork
strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with various stakeholders
