- recruit, manage & mentor the team, nurturing a productive & supportive work environment
- establish operational polices & procedures / KPI’s
- establish & maintain strong relationships with partners, affiliates & clients
- ensure legal compliance is adhered to & all company polices are followed
- negotiate contract rates in accordance with the business needs to ensure maximum competitiveness
- drive business growth through acquiring new clients and expanding existing freight volumes including trade lane development - India, China, Middle East, Turkey
- manage the implementation of new business to ensure that correct processes are in place prior to movement of goods
- provide exceptional customer service to clients and ensure delivery of high-quality service
Requirements
- previous experience in Freight Forwarding Air/Ocean/Road/Customs Business Development & Branch Operations is highly sort after for this role
- strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- freight Forwarding Operations Management: 5 years
- freight Forwarding Business development: 5 years
