Responsibility

  • ensure that all activities undertaken at the practice are in line with our policies and procedures
  • to provide clinical chairside support to the clinician and maintain stock levels of consumables within the surgery
  • to provide training and support for our apprentice dental nurses
  • to ensure a high level of cross infection control and decontaminate dental instruments
  • to maintain and update patient records
  • to provide a reliable, efficient and timely service to ensure we exceed patient expectations at every visit and provide a first class customer experience
  • to carry out administration duties and provide support to our patients via our call centre or reception on occasion
  • to work as part of the whole dental team to assist in the provision and delivery of dental care services to patients

Requirements

  • GDC registered
  • be able to provide excellent chairside support
  • dental Nursing Qualification
  • registered with the GDC
  • have excellent communication and customer care skills
  • 3-5 years dental nursing experience is preferable
  • knowledge of R4 computer software would be an advantage
  • previous experience training / supporting apprentice dental nurses preferable

  • previous office experience is essential
  • strong administrative skills, including proficiency in using computer systems and office software
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service
  • ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
  • dental background is preferred but medical, administrative or hospitality background will also be considered
  • excellent focus on patient journey and hight level of customer service
  • strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively
