Are you a qualified dental nurse looking to progress?Obsessed with Cross Infection Control and Decontamination?We have been looking for you!Our practice, based in the heart of York, is independently owned and provides family dental care as well as various cosmetic treatments.Working hours: Monday to Friday. Up to 40 hours per week. 1 hour lunch break per day. Willing to discuss both full time and part time options.Starting salary: Up to £13.00 per hour, dependant on experience. Salary will be reviewed upon completion of probationary period.Your Key Responsibilities:Ensure the practice is compliant, as outlined in HTM01-05 and Code of Practice Health and Social Care Act 2008Implement operational policy for cross infection and decontaminationEnsure our compliance software (icomply) is up to date, records are uploaded and check that they have been completed correctlyLiaise with external support services, including service, maintenance and testingCarry out Risk assessments and Auditing as required by the practice managerCarry out Legionella, RO and Chair water line checks (biofilm)Ensure the practice cleaner is adhering to The National Standards of Cleanliness 2021, by checking the cleaning log and by carrying out spot checks.Carry out induction training with all new employees who join the team on cross infection control and decontaminationEnsure all team members implement infection control policies and guidelinesEnsure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities for the use, installation and maintenance of the decontamination equipmentCarry out unexpected spot-checks on a regular basis, and if any concerns are highlighted they are addressed immediately with the practice manager and followed up to ensure that the changes have been implementedEnsure all instruments
