  • prepare lunch and tea for 36 residents with fresh home cooking/ baking
  • operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • maintain a clean work station whilst adhering to the Health and Safety standards
  • assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment
  • cooking: 1 year

senior carer

Requirements

  • all Senior Carers are expected to hold a Level 3 or work towards their Level 3
  • they must also be trained in the safe administration of medication
  • providing care: 1 year
  • leading the team: 1 year

Responsibility

  • can communicate with others non-offensively and delegate practical work to care staff as appropriate
  • you will lead by example and teach other staff members to utilise their strengths and improve their performance
  • to be involved in organising staff meetings
  • you will be the primary cover for the safe running of the home
  • to write residents’ daily reports / Care Control notes and to observe care staff report writing for professionalism and correctness
  • if the home has two or fewer carers on duty, you must step in and implement a solution
  • to be involved with the staff Rota of shifts
  • you must maintain professional standards, provide cover throughout the rotas and reduce agency costs to implement change where necessary
