Responsibility

  • to be responsible for the maintenance of the overall standard and quality of electrical installation work undertaken
  • be the main point of contact with NICEIC for the company matters and ensure full compliance
  • ensure all employees are competent to carry out the range of electrical works required of them
  • electrical Qualified Supervisor is to ensure that all electrical works undertaken in the business, whether by directly employed operatives or sub-contractors are undertaken and completed in a safe manner and are compliant, and in accordance, with all regulatory and legislative requirements
  • to check, verify and authorize completed electrical certification
  • ensure the implementation on site of all of the company Electrical Procedures
  • where applicable instigate corrective action procedures and track to full resolution of issues highlighted
  • to undertake effective works in progress inspections on; directly employed operatives, sub-contractors and agency staff, ensuring documentation and maintaining records for any third-party audits

Requirements

  • demonstrable experience of electrical compliance management within social housing, commercial and industrial works
  • city & Guilds 2360 Level 3
  • city & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing
  • 18th Edition Regulations
  • knowledge of BS5839 Fire Alarms
  • knowledge of Emergency Lighting
  • previous experience as NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
  • detailed knowledge of electrical inspection, installation & testing

  • A recognised electrical qualification, preferably as a time served Tester· City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395· A proven ability to work in a safe manner in accordance with company policies and safety legislation· In addition candidates must have the dedication to keep up to date with current legislation and undertake any training as required
