  • install, configure, and calibrate instrumentation and control systems, such as sensors, transmitters, controllers, and data acquisition devices
  • troubleshoot and diagnose issues in instrumentation and control systems, both hardware and software related, to identify faults and implement timely repairs
  • conduct preventive maintenance on instruments and control equipment to ensure optimal performance and prolong their lifespan
  • collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support commissioning and start-up of new equipment or control systems
  • participate in regular inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of instruments and control systems

Requirements

  • ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics
  • proficiency in using diagnostic tools, calibration equipment, and software applications for instrumentation and control
  • excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues
  • effective communication and teamwork abilities, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • flexibility to work in a dynamic environment with occasional on-call or overtime requirements
  • proven experience as an Instrument and Control Technician or a similar role, with hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems
  • strong knowledge of various control systems, including Distributed Control Systems , Programmable Logic Controllers , and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays
