- previous experience as a roofer or in a similar construction role is preferred
- familiarity with different types of roofing materials and installation techniques
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or specifications related to roofing projects
- strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with measurements
- physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot roofing issues

- remove old roofing materials and properly dispose of them
- adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working at heights

- install/replace lead slates including replacement of mushroom cowls, weathering collars where necessary
- assist roofers with installation, repairs, and maintenance of various roof types
- carry out stripping, re-felting, and re-batoning works as required
- safely handle and transport materials and equipment on site
- operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- support the erection and dismantling of access equipment and scaffolding
- ensure all work areas are kept clean, tidy, and free from hazards
- adhere to all on-site health and safety procedures, including working at height regulations
- collaborate closely with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines
- experience working on social housing or occupied properties is highly desirable
- knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safe handling practices
- physically fit with the ability to lift and carry materials
- DBS Requirement at start of self employment
- working at Height or Asbestos Awareness training Training will be given
- excellent teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude
