Responsibility

  • minimise downtime to the facility by completing scheduled PPM and maintaining records of site equipment
  • attend to plant breakdowns and solve/diagnose mechanical and electrical failures
  • manage on site contractors
  • look after and maintain stock levels of spare parts
  • liaise with production regarding opportunities to undertake servicing to maximise productivity within the facility
  • work in a safe manner and comply with site health and safety rules to ensure own and others safety at all times
  • reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the site maintenance of our Rotherham production facility including breakdowns and servicing

Requirements

  • ideally previous experience of working in a Maintenance Engineering role with experience of PPM, fault-finding, and diagnosis of faults
  • shot blast machinery
  • ideally an Engineering Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
  • shears & balers
  • MIG Welding/fabrication experience is necessary
  • bandsaws
  • some electrical knowledge would be an advantage
  • fork Lift trucks
