- work with the project leader to understand and ensure plans are accurate accounting for engineering effort and skills set
- delivering allocated tasks and meet objectives as agreed with line manager, placement supervisor and mentor
- responsible for ensuring the engineering output meets the requirements as detailed in the project master specification
- performing modelling, design or implementation activities with the supervision and mentoring of senior staff
- deliver the technical aspects of the product following the agreed specification
- verifying and testing technical solutions with guidance from senior staff
- type testing and compliance testing of designs, including design of experiment
- guide consistency of engineering solutions across platforms and machine types
- learning the use of tools and equipment of the allocated functional discipline
- make engineering decision selecting the best solution to engineering problems
- perform engineering calculations
- promote the use of new technologies and work with R&D teams
- develop & motivate the engineering team
- champion modularity
- providing regular and clear technical progress reports to project management, mentor, project supervisor and functional line manager

- ensure designs conform to required standards
- support the NPI manager to ensure the team have the correct knowledge and identify training needs
- engineering risk identification, control and mitigation, escalate and to agree appropriate higher-level mitigation
- own and ensure execution of all compliance, safety testing and type testing, reviewing, and approving reports generated by the engineering team

- reporting to the NPI Manager, lead a high-performing team to deliver product requirements Ensure Control and Coordination of the engineering design to meet specifications, ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet the prime cost & product requirements
- identify appropriate PCP engineering deliverables & ensuring they are performed for PCP gates
- working under the direction of the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for the execution of design solutions within a multi-discipline engineering team, supporting product development at Product Company, Clevedon
- you have ambition, vision, enthusiasm, and the drive to keep on developing your knowledge and achieve Chartered status
- within the Continuous Improvement Projects Team you will be working under the direction of the Senior Electrical Engineer where you will be responsible developing and delivering reliability or performance upgrades to systems
- learning how to estimate allocated tasks and adhere to agreed cost estimates & timescales by participating in the definition of Work Packages and their incorporation into project delivery
- ensure valid work packages are created and approve work packages for project execution
- to participate in HAZOP, DFMEA studies and risk analysis techniques according to best practice ensuring that resulting actions are included in a verification test plan, factory acceptance test or final test and commissioning document
- lead by example, ensuring engineers follow safe working practices

Requirements
- A good Engineering/Scientific degree
- A good Electrically biased engineering degree - essential
- A good Electrical / Electronics biased engineering degree
