Responsibility
- undertake design work against designated projects in an efficient and effective manner
- undertake work in accordance with the design office procedures and design and engineering standards
- maintain design data within the Business computer design systems
- prepare designs for authorisation and approval in accordance with design procedure
- undertake design calculations where required
- assist delivery of the design within the defined project schedule and cost budgets
- conduct design activities with due cognisance of manufacture and operation of products
- identify and manage the production of design documentation e.g., Drawings, Calculations, Bill of Materials
Requirements
- A relevant engineering / technical qualification
- solidworks experience preferred or Autodesk experience, including stress analysis experience
- experience with tooling, particarly JIG tools and 3D printed parts
- experience of composite material design
- experience working with MRP systems, creating Bill of Materials
- experience working with CE/UL compliant products
- basic Catia experience for model opening/exporting advantageous
- working with bespoke machinery preferred, fast paced manufacturing environment
