  • class 1 HGV Driving License: 1 year

Responsibility

  • carry out groundwork activities including excavation, drainage, and landscaping
  • operate machinery and tools safely and effectively
  • manage site preparation and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • supervise and train junior team members, providing guidance on best practices
  • maintain a clean and organised work environment
  • collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met
  • report any issues or concerns to the site manager promptly

Requirements

  • proven experience in groundworks or a related field is preferred
  • strong ability to manage tasks effectively while supervising others
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks, including lifting and operating machinery
  • A valid driving licence is essential
