Working hours

Responsibility
- maintain a comprehensive running log throughout the shift
- coordinate and oversee all transport tasks in alignment with the daily transport plan
- supervise the night transport operations effectively
- perform spot checks on departing vehicles from the site and ensure the inspection log is completed
- manage trailer movements and accurately log their destinations and locations
- establish clear communication with depots, providing regular updates on trunking vehicle progress and addressing any challenges
- ensure vehicles/trailers are optimally loaded before departure
- conduct vehicle downloads as necessary or as identified by the Transport Manager
Requirements
- willingness to take on new commitments and responsibilities as needed
- ability to handle additional ad hoc duties as required
- proficient in IT, administration, and communication skills
- flexible attitude and excellent prioritization skills
- previous experience in a Transport role is essential
- self-starter with the ability to work independently
- understanding of current Road Transport Legislation and digital tachographs
- holder of a Transport Management CPC would be desirable, although not essential
