Responsibility
- collaborate with the design team to research and conceptualize seasonal trends, themes, and concepts for women's wear collections
- assist in the development of sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards to communicate design ideas and concepts effectively
- support the design team in creating detailed tech packs and specifications for sampling and production, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- assist in fittings and garment evaluations, providing feedback on fit, construction, and quality to ensure the integrity of the final product
- keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural influences to inspire and inform design decisions
- collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, production, and merchandising to ensure alignment of design concepts with business objectives
- participate in fabric and trim sourcing, conducting research to identify new materials and suppliers that align with our brand's aesthetic and values
Requirements
- degree in Fashion Design or related field
- previous experience in a design role, preferably in women's wear
- strong sketching and technical drawing skills
- knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fit
- excellent communication and collaboration skills
- passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail
- women's wear designing: 1 year
- ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
