Responsibility

  • accountability for producing all month end balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring they are accurate and representative
  • accountable for all external finance related submissions – VAT; Gift Aid; Annual returns; etc

  • ability to maintain accounting records and ensure the systems in place capture all relevant information relating to monthly income and expenditure
  • demonstrable working knowledge of balance sheet control processes and delivering to deadlines
  • ensure financial submissions; VAT, Gift Aid; Lottery Returns; etc are submitted accurately and on time

  • oversee completion of departmental work and reports, assisting with preparation of management accounts, budgets and statutory accounts
  • oversee cross departmental controls and asset protection

  • oversee systems are being kept up to date with accurate information, and finance records are updated in a timely fashion including bank reconciliations, payments and receipts, gift aid records and submissions, payroll and related tax payments and submissions, and other regulatory documents
