- excellent knowledge of Cisco, HP, Meraki, Routing, F5, Zscaler, Palo Alto firewalls
- ideally CCNP Qualified
- experience with day to day network configuration and general support
- knowledge of Solarwinds, VMWare, Microsoft Azure and other management tools is beneficial
- an understanding of Always on and High Availability preferred
- experience of design, build and implementation
- excellent communication skills
- definition of a future-state architecture with client stakeholders, including key considerations and design decisions
- design and documentation of the architectural model for the end to end solution
- development of option papers where required
- impact assessment of current to future state
- leading a technology workstream and supporting team members to deliver a set of agreed outcomes
- participating in workshops in all architecture-related areas
- assessing business requirements and mapping them to Application functionality, recognising functionality gaps and identifying solutions to fill them
- participating in the Design Authority as a key core member to ensure that relevant designs meet with defined goals
- definition of a future-state architecture with client stakeholders, including key considerations and design decisions

- either worked for a consultancy before or in a government organisation
- advanced Excel

- to maintain the Risk & Opportunities schedule for the directorate
- responsible for annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting of the financial performance of the Service Delivery Directorate
- lead the monthly internal financial review with the commercial and operational teams
- to represent the Service Delivery Directorate at the Senior Management Team and Senior Leadership Team meeting
