Responsibility
- actively source products that satisfy customer requirements and negotiate prices to deliver volume growth
- making sure all stocks throughout the factory are accurate on all systems that are used
- maintain supplier relationships to deliver ongoing value and facilitate promotional opportunities through participation in marketing activities

- contribute and complete all training courses that are provided
- create and maintain both weekly and seasonal price lists
- ensure all staff wearing correct PPE including ear protection, clothing, cutting gloves and shoes
- provide cover for other team members as required
- participate in weekly sales meeting to deliver key market information to sales team and management
- ensure all staff always comply with the food and hygiene requirements
- raise any potential threats or shortages in the daily meetings
- ensure staff always operate within the company health and safety standards and that workstations are always kept clean and tidy
- processing requirement and daily production plan reviewed, updated, and sent out to all
- ensure customer returns that require supplier credits have been checked and suppliers notified
- report any hazards or machine problems immediately to your pl and support resolution as needed
- contribute to departmental and site improvement projects when required
- take responsibility for the task, are committed and well prepared, contribute and help with tasks, follow agreed standards and principles, react if things go wrong, are systematically and document your tasks, are thinking ahead and planning
- ensure good standards of general manufacturing practice and that the factory is always audit ready
- lead effective 2-way communication with all teams to ensure all staff are kept informed of business, departmental and team issues to help support an engaged and motivated workforce
- chase supplier credits for customer returns, goods inwards rejections and returns from stock
- to ensure that the stock and stock movements are controlled throughout the Factory. Ensure product retains traceability through process and aid in customer traceability requirements
- monitoring yields and communicating with relevant departments
- inventory management – control stock levels to suite customer demand, actively monitor stock dates and pursue clearance lines to minimise stock losses
- ensure all team comply with the food and hygiene requirements at all times
- complete and send residual report to all relevant teams
- ensure operation within the Company health and safety standards at all times and that workstations are kept clean and tidy at all times
- continuously review and identify ways to improve efficiency, yields, reduce labour costs and waste, whilst maintaining technical standards and product quality
Requirements
- knowledge of supply chain – including requirements and expectations from intake through to processing, packing, despatch and the end customer
- ability to prioritise workload effectively
- experience working in factory/production environment
