- provide strategic advice and knowledge associated with Carbon and sustainability team for rail engineers
- manage the Carbon and sustainability Team to support the D2 growth plan
- provide strong leadership for carbon baseline and reduction using verification and validation of all stages of GRIP/PACE lifecycle
- produce and deliver technical papers and seminars
- train, mentor and develop Carbon and sustainability staff
- work on multi-disciplinary rail projects
- lead the development of software solutions for our clients
- collaborate with clients, project managers, and other developers to design and develop software solutions
- translate client requirements into understandable feature requests and scopes
- produce product proposals, roadmaps, and timelines
- accurately predict time requirements for features and projects
- write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- test and debug software solutions to ensure they meet the clients’ requirements
- write automated tests for software
- fluent in a coding language such as C# and JavaScript
- experienced in frameworks such as .NET and ReactJS

- BSC degree or equivalent in a computer science or software development

- specialist Technology or Platform certification such as AWS or Microsoft certification, Associate /Level 2 industry certification
- A minimum of five years relevant experience in the successful delivery of major projects in multi-discipline railway construction
- user of reporting, analytics and EVM / Cost software – e.g. Power BI, FUSE, Cobra or Qlikview
- daily user of industry standard Planning software – P6, MSP, ASTA
- ability to develop and build a successful schedule
- ability to develop and build a successful plan & schedule and obtain stakeholder buy-in

- member of a relevant professional body and/or educated to degree level
