Responsibility

  • applicants should be self-motivated, proactive and able to use their own initiative
  • you will be required to deliver glass to customers premises and sites as required
  • as a driver, you will be required to safely load and offload goods as applicable
  • position : Van Delivery Driver
  • ensure all glass is loaded safely onto the van and securely strapped down
  • job type: Full time, Permanent
  • ensure you have all relevant paperwork before setting off in the morning for delivery
  • shift Pattern: Monday – Friday , Average of 50 hours per week

  • degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
  • BTEC certificate in operations and maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering
  • city & Guilds certificate in engineering

  • ability to multitask. High level of efficiency and responsibility

Responsibility

  • planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
  • carrying out quality inspections on every machine to identify potential fault patterns
  • supports engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques; conducting tests and inspections; responding to machine breakdown reports and diagnosing efficiently
  • responding, diagnosing, and recording breakdowns
  • troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services
  • ensuring compliance with health and safety legislations
  • managing stocks of supplies and equipment
  • work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers , which control machinery on factory assembly lines
