  • assess and underwrite bridging and heavy refurb loan applications, evaluating property valuations and borrower profiles
  • conduct detailed risk analysis and due diligence on complex lending opportunities
  • work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure a smooth and efficient process
  • stay ahead of market trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and best practices
  • contact the applicant by telephone to discuss findings during the underwriting process and address queries raised
  • prepare and present detailed underwriting reports to senior management
  • develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to drive business growth
  • maintain an understanding of and comply with all relevant lending regulations, including those from financial regulatory bodies and internal lending policies
