- to provide an efficient reception service to patients and assist in providing a comprehensive administrative service To provide an efficient initial, advice and guidance service for patients of the practice making enquiries around the services provided

- morning shift start 8.00am Afternoon / Evening shift start 10.30am A working week will be a mixture of Morning and Afternoon/Evening shift
- meet and direct patients and visitors to the practice using the policies of the practice as guidance
- to provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone Duties will include being the focal first point within the practice for patients and visitors; project a positive and friendly image at all times, either in person or via the telephone
- operate the telephone system, other communication equipment and computer system as required
- answer the telephone in a prompt and timely manner and deal with or redirect enquiries

- initiate contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers
- opening up/locking up of Practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols
- keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstruction and clutter
- alert the management team to issues of risk
- prepare repeat prescription for checking and signing by Doctors and distribute appropriately for collection by patients
- receive cash payment from patients for these services, issue proper receipts and appropriately record receipt of such monies
- reporting incidents and accidents
- ensuring correct PPE is worn for the appropriate task
Requirements
