ability to work in challenging underground conditions, ranging from working at heights to working in confined spaces
conduct and maintain records of statutory maintenance schemes
being a team player, willing and able to mentor junior staff and get involved with a wide variety of work tasks as and when required

develop an overall project procurement strategy in consultation with Project Manager, Chief Geologist, Mine Manager and other members of management
undertake market investigations and source cost estimates based on technical specifications and delivery timescales agreed with technical specialists
develop and maintain efficient procurement procedures across the Company
liaise with project cost control for cost reporting and budgetary control for each of the project workstreams
lead supplier engagement during the tendering and award of purchase orders to obtain competitive prices and delivery to the mine site in accordance with the project timetable
manage the administration of purchase orders, including the approval of contract documents and goods received notes, and processing change orders and claims
maintain inventory levels for routine consumables and other items utilised at the mine site where it is cost effective to do so; and
external relationships will include extensive communication with existing and potential suppliers
