So, whether it’s weighing herbs and spices, marinating meat, or chopping, slicing and dicing veg,ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all fresh ingredients are prepared to the best of your ability to the required specification. This includes both ingredient spec and timeframe.Weigh all required ingredients and ensure that weights are achieved as per specifications and raise any discrepancies with your team leader.Ensure all paperwork you are responsible for is completely accurately and honestly and input on to unity as required.Make sure we are working in a safe environment by following the relevant health and safety procedures and bringing to the team leaders any concerns you have.Think of the next department as a customer, so the service you provide must be the best that you can deliver.Be conscious of wastage when prepping ingredients and take responsibility of yields. By safeguarding our products, monitoring chill times and doing the final checks before dishing, you help create our remarkable products. Not only that, you provide a service that ensures our customer get consistency every time they enjoy our delicious food.Responsibilities· Communications is key, you need to continually communicate to each department to ensure that you and your team are fully aware of what batches are coming in and out of your department and when· By rotating batches in your fridge, you will monitor chill times to ensure the safety of our food. You will have a full understanding of products in your department and therefore what batches you are responsible for.· Follow recipes closely and do a final check to ensure the next department has all elements of the dish.
