Responsibility
- key lead in the analytical activity needed to develop annual global logistics' budget
- responsible for monthly distribution expense tracking, accruals alignment with distribution leads and finance, and preparing monthly operational cost review slides
- classify spend data categories and publish spend trends monthly
- support Continuous Improvement team in the calculation of savings expectations for key projects
- in addition, the monthly validation step to quantify actual savings delivered versus estimated savings
- understand the drivers causing savings to be higher or lower to estimates
- utilise continuous improvement tools to identify efficiency opportunities
- design and build efficient databases to maintain and track volumes moving through Convatec’s distribution centers and the monthly spend linked to the volume through put for all distribution operations
Requirements
- BS/MS degree required, data analytics, industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or general business
- multi-year experience in leading the analytical activities for logistics budget creation accrual and tracking actual spend to budget
- in depth knowledge of distribution and transportation is required
- position may require some travel around 10%
- proven experience in creating, maintaining, and working in logistics volume and spend databases
- this will include domestic and/or international to Logistic Partner Operations and/or Convatec regional offices
- proven experience to develop and produce reports and trends that aid senior logistic managers in managing distribution operations
- this travel will include day trips and overnight trips
