• technical oversight of the work of a small number of design engineers
• minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• this role will involve writing specifications; reviewing designs; reviewing technical submissions; checking installation against design; witnessing network commissioning; acceptance testing post commissioning; producing models and reports for presentation back to clients
• the use of CAD packages in the creation of engineering drawings
• working towards CEng Chartered Engineer status
• the production of tender scopes, specifications, bills of materials and engineering calculations
• A thorough working knowledge of relevant CIBSE Guides, British Standards, BSRIA, IGEM and other industry authority publications
• part of the role requires collaboration with the bid support team, in the writing and compilation of Bids/ tenders and technical documents
• technical support and design coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including business development and project managers, contractors, clients, and design consultants
• experience liaising with both internal and external clients, contractors and suppliers
• attendance at project sites for surveys, reviews, key delivery milestones and commissioning
• A working knowledge of the Construction & Design Management Regulations 2015
• answering Technical questions in support of tender applications
• the design of district network schemes and energy centres, including buried piping systems, energy centres, boilers, CHP units, thermal stores, plate heat exchanger assemblies, pumps, chillers, heat pumps and auxiliary systems
• experience of writing sub-contractor scopes of supply, specifications and major plant tender documentation

• eng / BSc Engineering Degree
• experience of the detailed design of energy centres, CHP, boilers, chillers, heat pumps and district heating network installations
• it is the aim of the company to reach agreement to reasonable changes following discussion with the post holder
• experience of producing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and engineering schematics in 2D AutoCAD
• working on large scale District Heating projects: you will be carrying the system design of low temperature heat network, encompassing the energy centre, buried network, and building level connections
• an ability to size and specify valves, pumps, instruments and piping components
• experience of producing as-built record drawings and supporting the compilation of Operation & Maintenance manual content for delivered designs
