COFFI LAB is looking for employees for positions:

delivery driver

Responsibility

  • as such, we’re on the lookout for delivery drivers to assist in the distribution of our goods across our Labs
  • ensure safe and efficient deliveries of our chilled and ambient products
  • help ensure all deliveries are checked to confirm quantities are correct and confirmation of delivery address
  • load vehicle with all goods out
  • join the pack at Coffi Lab as we enter an exciting new chapter of food & drink for our growing group of coffee stores
  • communicate with stores to report any issues
  • our brand new Coffi Lab Kitchen will provide our sites across Wales and England with a range of beautiful handmade savories and bakes
  • ensure all delivery paperwork is complete

Requirements

  • multi-stop delivery driving experience preferable
  • full UK Drivers License
  • you’ll need to work within our health and safety policies to undertake safe working practices at all times
  • an ability to work on your own initiative to problem and structure the most effective delivery and collection route to complete daily schedules
  • as a representative of Coffi Lab you’ll need to maintain a high level of politeness and courtesy towards customers and team members

Responsibility

  • the next phase of Coffi Lab’s expansion sees us launch our Roastery in Cardiff
  • we are looking for a passionate, self-motivated individual with experience in coffee technical engineering to be part of this journey
  • this will include receiving, managing and fulfilling all orders, roasting and packing as well as quality control
  • the roasting equipment will also need to monitored and maintained
  • completing QC checks on the equipment in all our Labs to ensure the coffee is being served to Coffi Lab standards

Requirements

  • whilst training will be available, experience of technical work and maintenance of La Marzocco espresso machines is essential
  • A background in electrical mechanics would be advantageous

  • qualified with a PSSR licence would be an advantage

  • be passionate about coffee. Our Coffee Technician must have an excellent understanding of coffee quality and associated equipment
  • be efficient. Our Coffee Technician must have a keen eye for detail, accuracy and consistency

production manager

Responsibility

  • receiving and managing store orders via production management software
  • plan and oversee production schedules with Kitchen Team Leaders
  • place, log and accept stock orders from suppliers, accounting for waste as necessary throughout production
  • be available on the floor as needed to lead in the production, packing and delivery of outgoing orders
  • assist in the hiring and training of new starters in particular our opening team
  • managing high levels of food safety compliance and ensuring all relevant production and traceability paperwork is completed
  • keeping our workspaces safe for our teams by seeing company Health and Safety guidelines are practiced
  • be at the forefront of quality control in the Coffi Lab Kitchen, making certain that our menu items are made to spec and with the upmost care - every time

Requirements

  • 2 years supervisory experience within a food manufacture / preparation environment is essential
  • advanced computer literacy with experience in using kitchen management software
  • bakery experience beneficial
  • extensive food safety knowledge, Level 3 certificate or equivalent
  • full UK Drivers Licence
  • you must have a proven track record of people management and be able to identify and support the needs of both the individual and the team
  • be a problem solver. Sometimes things go wrong, that’s unavoidable. But our PM should be able to help identify the root cause, find a solution and put the framework in place to stop issues reoccurring
  • be efficient. As a senior part of our production team, you will lead by example on best practices in food handling and efficiency

Responsibility

  • labelling – liaise with designer and ensure adequate stock levels in-store
  • profitability and sell through – monitor sales and margin on all lines, carrying out periodic competitor price comps. Work with suppliers to drive cost savings through scales and rationalisation
  • review and report on stock take results. Investigate any large variances and work with the operations team to improve profitability and reduce waste
