- we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team
- as a Transport Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our transport fleet and staff
- ensure the transport operation meets performance and safety targets, reporting to senior management
- additionally, you will lead and develop a driving team, produce reports for clients and senior management, and contribute to operational improvements
- ensure compliance with UK legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements
- maintain resourcing levels by recruiting, scheduling, and managing staff leave and absences
- review and develop planned maintenance to ensure vehicle fitness
Requirements
- excellent numeracy skills
- PSV Transport Manager CPC qualification
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong customer service skills
- PSV driver qualification and valid driver CPC card
- experience in a similar managerial role, including staff supervision
- clear and legible handwriting
- experience in cost management
