Responsibility
- collaborate with stakeholders, including architects and development teams, to understand the current architectural landscape and requirements
- analyse existing systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify areas of improvement, standardization, and consolidation
- create comprehensive documentation and catalogues for APIs, ensuring clear communication and understanding among teams
- collaborate with software development teams to encourage progressive steps towards the target state, aligning with the defined architectural principles and guidelines
- stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to architecture design, microservices, and relevant design patterns
- act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to teams across the organization on architectural decisions and best practices
- design and document the target state architecture, incorporating microservices, micro-frontends, messaging systems , and databases , as well as additional relevant patterns mentioned above
- define and apply architectural patterns such as CQRS, Event Sourcing, circuit breakers, dead letter queues, service mesh, event-driven architecture, API gateway, data replication, state management, containerization, orchestration, domain-driven design, and hybrid integration as appropriate
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- strong knowledge and hands-on experience with microservices architecture, micro-frontends, messaging systems , and databases
- proficiency in applying architectural patterns like CQRS, Event Sourcing, circuit breakers, and dead letter queues in real-world scenarios
- experience with API documentation and cataloguing tools, ensuring clarity and consistency in communication
- demonstrated ability to analyse and consolidate existing systems and applications to define a target state architecture
- strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor development teams towards achieving architectural objectives
- excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results
