Responsibility
- managing the day to day transport operation, communicating with sub-contractors and controlling drivers, administrators and planners employed
- effective planning and utilisation of drivers for deliveries
- interfacing with the sites customers
- chillway Express Specials Ltd established in 1997, since then we have specialised in the transportation of time critical loads. Our dedicated team are available 24/7 offering a same day or contract service
- liaising with the operations team, to ensure customer service levels are maintained
- as the Transport Manager you will be responsible for the full Transport function at our sites. The position will take ownership of the transport budget and will seek to drive the profitability of the operation
- maintaining, creating and updating spreadsheets and databases for KPI reports
- reporting problems and dealing with any issues and queries that may arise
