ensuring daily recording is being completed accurately by staff members
assisting with incidents - attending residential units, providing support and advice, assisting with incident reports, communicating with relevant individuals
managing your responsible residential units and building professional working relationships with staff members
the deputy manager has the overall responsibility to ensure the placements have been audited and the expectations of placements is being met
writing minutes, completing performance management documentation when required i.e. appraisal and probation reviews
the deputy manager is required to be flexible due to working for a small organisation and to actively work on the frontline with staff, coaching and mentoring to the appropriate standard and supporting the registered manager and service manager
liaising with the service manager to support the transitions of new placements
carrying out initial assessments of new referrals and placements
