Responsibility

  • ensuring daily recording is being completed accurately by staff members
  • assisting with incidents - attending residential units, providing support and advice, assisting with incident reports, communicating with relevant individuals
  • managing your responsible residential units and building professional working relationships with staff members
  • the deputy manager has the overall responsibility to ensure the placements have been audited and the expectations of placements is being met
  • writing minutes, completing performance management documentation when required i.e. appraisal and probation reviews
  • the deputy manager is required to be flexible due to working for a small organisation and to actively work on the frontline with staff, coaching and mentoring to the appropriate standard and supporting the registered manager and service manager
  • liaising with the service manager to support the transitions of new placements
  • carrying out initial assessments of new referrals and placements
