prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes
prepare, cook and present a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, and vegetarian options
lead as Head Chef to develop and update menus, ensuring that dishes are authentic and of the highest quality
ensure that all food is prepared and served according to our restaurant's standards of quality, taste and presentation
ensure that all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times
manage stock levels, order supplies and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
train and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring that they follow recipes and procedures accurately
monitor food wastage and take appropriate action to minimize waste and increase the efficiency
Requirements
proven experience working as a chef
proven experience working as a specialty chef in an Indian restaurant
ability to create and develop new dishes while maintaining the authenticity of traditional recipes
in-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations, ingredients and cooking techniques
cooking
excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
rational Experience would be ideal but training can be provided
ability to work well under pressure and in a busy kitchen environment
