Responsibility
- leading testing activities and working closely with project teams
- test planning, definition and setup
- instrumentation requirements, data acquisition and analysis
- fault finding on the vehicle powertrain and test cell equipment
- setup and use of engine and transmission test cells for both manual and automated operation
- knowledge of powertrain test automation systems preferably Cadet V14 and AVL PUMA, INDICOM, ETAS INCA)
- scripting of tests for automated and repeated testing
- ownership of the test setups including interaction with software team for setup of rig enabling signals
Requirements
- previous experience of automotive engineering in a technical role is required, especially working with conventional powertrains and Electric vehicles
- this could be from a powertrain test site or from vehicle work at automotive manufacturer
- previous experience of automotive power electronics and hydrogen would be beneficial
- maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment is desirable
