provide the factory with highly reliable equipment through the implementation of Planned Preventative Maintenance programs and a Corrective Maintenance regime
implement procedures to achieve machine / equipment uptime in line with budget expectations and act before breakdown or process instability occurs
control engineering overhead costs; ensure all purchases and Engineering Store Stock issues within budgeted levels
identify training needs, train, develop and mentor engineers to meet company standards and objectives
ownership of facilities management and Site Security ensuring the highest standards are maintained
drive improvement activities towards optimising plant performance and/or improving effective use of resources, which include labour, materials plant utilisation and energy
install or oversee of all production and non-production equipment that comes either from workshop or third parties; ensuring it complies with original requirements, including safety legislation, and works at an agreed level of reliability without interruption
ensure that all-technical and legislative requirements are adhered to, and engage contractors and suppliers subject to engineering procedure. Ensure Cedo engineers and contractors operate within all current regulations
