Responsibility
- lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers, fostering creativity and professional growth
- ensure all design elements align with the game’s vision and production goals
- conceptualize, prototype, and implement core gameplay systems for an MMO first-person shooter
- collaborate across disciplines to deliver cohesive and technically achievable designs
- maintain and update design documentation, including the Game Design Document and internal wikis
- dedicate approximately 50% of your time to hands-on design work such as combat, systems design or progression
- review builds and provide actionable feedback to improve gameplay and quality
- analyse player data and feedback to refine features and balance gameplay
Requirements
- proven experience as a Lead Game Designer, with a strong background in first-person shooter design
- demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience within a design team
- deep understanding of progression, gameplay mechanics and systems design principles
- excellent communication and cross-discipline collaboration skills
- ability to balance creative vision with technical and business requirements
- strong understanding of design documentation, pipelines, and iteration workflows
