Responsibility

  • we are looking for an experienced Welder to join our precision engineering team based in Hampden Park, Eastbourne
  • must have experience in TIG welding, working with mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass
  • the position requires a motivated person with experience who can understand engineering drawings and either work alone or as part of a team
  • benefits include overtime plus time and a half, pension, on site parking, annual holiday entitlement, attendance bonus and early finish on Fridays

Requirements

  • \* TIG welding
  • \* Brazing / Soldering
  • \* Experience in reading drawings
  • MIG welding: 3 years
  • fabrication: 3 years

Responsibility

  • operate CNC turning machines to produce components as per specifications
  • interpret and work from technical drawings and CAD models
  • set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes
  • perform quality checks using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
  • maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment, including logic controllers
  • assemble components as required, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency
  • conduct routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to machining processes
  • familiarity with CAD software, is advantageous
  • hands-on experience with hand tools and tooling setups is essential
  • mechanical knowledge
  • previous experience in operating similar machinery is preferred but not mandatory
