Responsibility

  • as a Personal Care Assistant, your role will be to support our 'Service Users' to remain in their own homes, enabling them to be independent by providing personal care, medication administration and companionship

  • to assist the care manager operational responsibilities and support
  • to assist in the provision of care and work as part of a team to achieve required standards
  • to ensure our Service Users retain their dignity and individuality
  • assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of our Service Users
  • assist our Service Users with getting out and about promoting their independence
  • perform light housekeeping tasks
  • encourage Service Users to participate in social and recreational activities
  • ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting our Service User with personal care, medication administration and all other aspects of daily living

Requirements

  • home care: 1 year

  • support clients in maintaining their daily routines and adhering to care plans
  • help with mobility and physical activities as needed
  • assist with feeding/drinking when necessary

Requirements

  • previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential
  • A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality personal care
  • flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary
  • moving and handling experience
  • BIPAP training or experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given
  • experience of using hoists essential
  • compassionate and patient demeanour with a commitment to providing high-quality care
