  • we are looking for enthusiastic care workers to join our residential support worker team
  • job hours - currently the care home requires weekday, weekend staff, and overtime shifts during the week

  • candidates must be motivated, hard working, thoughtful and conscientious, pro-active, supportive and dedicated to working for the good of the residents, supportive to colleagues and towards the needs of the care home, be able to take and work with direction from the deputy manager and registered manager
  • role includes supporting residents with personal care, housekeeping, preparation of daily meals, taking residents to appointments, supporting residents, management and staff team with daily duties

Responsibility

  • scheduling jobs and contacting clients accordingly
  • maintaining a store of appropriate tools on the projects behalf
  • collect and report back feedback from the beneficiaries to administration staff
  • promote/publicise other services as and when appropriate
  • driving duties including small van for laundry collection duties
  • attend any training deemed necessary by the Trustees and/or the Project Manager

Requirements

  • full UK driving license is essential
  • own vehicle to travel to and from jobs
  • enhanced DBS must be in place
  • undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks as directed, including painting, basic carpentry, and general upkeep of household and garden
  • monitor and maintain inventory levels of equipment, ensuring availability for routine tasks and emergencies
  • adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times
  • maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and reports
  • provide excellent customer service by responding to queries and requests from colleagues and beneficiaries in a professional and friendly manner
