  • we are currently recruiting for the role of General Operative, which will be based at Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey
  • whilst the shift is predominately nights, some occasional day shifts will be required

Responsibility

  • attend and coordinate field trials/installations for new and existing products
  • create product training packages for distributors and key clients
  • conduct product/technical presentations to customers, design consultants, and colleagues and at industry seminars
  • provide technical support to customers, distributors, governing bodies and colleagues
  • liaise with engineering & applications departments on feedback with ideas to enhance product performance & new product ideas
  • interpret and occasionally edit CAD/Solidworks product drawings
  • liaise with the engineering department to provide clients with site-specific layout and installation drawings
  • continuously drive improvements and lean initiatives

Requirements

  • qualified to minimum HNC/D
  • capability to write technical responses, documentation and manuals
  • willingness & flexibility to travel worldwide, sometimes at short notice
  • confident and highly motivated customer facing engineer with a strong attention to detail
  • key focus on providing exceptional customer service
  • excellent communicator
  • instructor & assessor qualifications/experience advantageous

supervisor

  • supervising and mentoring others
  • barrier installation / removal
  • crash cushion / terminal and / or road restraint system installation
  • driving and equipment operation
  • yard duties
  • ability to work individually, or as part of a team, with excellent time keeping. Maintaining high levels of delivery and customer service in the following activities

Requirements

  • full clean driving licence
  • experience in site construction
  • team player with a 'can do' approach
  • health & Safety awareness
  • flexibility
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Work Based Fencing
