Responsibility

  • maintain clean and tidy work areas ie workshop and post job tidy ups
  • provide supervisory support to 3rdparty service providers whilst on site, and associated acceptance of RAMS
  • ensure the sites CMMS is maintained and proactively used to record all historical works undertaken – training provided
  • maintain the plant using OEM guidance, applicable legislation and industry best practice in line with the CMMS, to ensure the availability of the plant is maximised
  • undertake specific engineering integrity assessments not limited to DSEAR and Safety Critical Devices
  • undertake and support the daily planned maintenance activities in line with the agreed CMMS plan, liaising with HSE and operations colleagues and submitting the required CMMS/Safety System documents and Risk Assessment Method Statement within the locally agreed timeframes
  • provide engineering technical support as required to the fuel handling and operations team for plant technical issue resolution
  • undertake practical application and timely diagnosis, fault finding and repair of the plant, in liaison with operations team, with or without 3rdparty contract support

Requirements

  • knowledge and experience of maintaining plant processes, permit and safety systems
  • general knowledge and experience of DCS/HMI, electrical systems ideally HV, generators and transformers
  • working knowledge of preventative maintenance/defect repair of motors, switchgear, instruments and control systems including SCADA, VSD & PLC, Profibus
  • an understanding and ability to read P&ID and isometric diagrams
  • preferred five years Plant Operations experience within a maintenance role
  • good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, flexible and committed attitude

  • full UK Driving Licence

Education

  • ONC / C&G / NVQ level 3 in an Electrical or C&I engineering discipline is essential, along with a high level of practical thermal/process plant maintenance experience
