• undertake client work as directed, mainly this will involve statutory audits but will also encompass other client assignments such as due diligence, VAT, internal audit and training activities

• preparation of statutory accounts of companies, and consolidated accounts of groups, partnerships and LLP`s together with tax computations under FRS102 and IFRS requirements from client draft figures
• complete ad hoc advisory services to the firm's not-for-profit sector clients as the need arises
• complete the audit file, including clearance of outstanding matters and review points drafting of Audit Highlights Memorandum, management letter and letter of representation and the completion of finalisation checklists
• audit planning preparation of statutory accounts full audit completion
• liaise closely with clients and other stakeholders, keeping the relevant manager/supervisor informed of developments
• undertake analysis or reconciliations as required on financial statement items, such as fixed assets and income
• prepare quarterly VAT returns
• working alongside current office management to assist and supervise junior team members
• prepare a draft tax computation
• to act as the main point of contact with the client throughout the assignment, responding to their needs and managing their expectations
• recommend improvements to the clients' accounting systems and controls, assisting when needed

Requirements

• planning, execution, and completion of audits reporting to managers and partners
• part ACA or ACCA qualified
• qualified to ACA/ACCA or internationally recognised chartered accounting qualification

• qualified or late stage ACA/ACCA with current UK external audit experience at a Senior level or above
• ACA / ACCA / CA qualified or Part Qualified accountant
• preparation of accounts, reports and other assignments as required
• experience leading audits
• recent experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice
• co-ordinate planning with clients, including liaising with relevant departments within the firm
• knowledge of Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and CCH including Accounts Production and Audit Automation useful but not essential
• experience of leading external audit assignments from planning to completion stages under International Standards on Auditing
• communicating and building relationships with clients and related third parties
